It is slow moving but it had to be because of the tenderness and loving care between two souls that are caught in between time. They manage to spend time together through common experiences two years apart. Even though he has the item, he does not place it in the mailbox to return it to her. Alex was the man that died that day, two years previously, and she tells him to wait two years, not to look for her or try to find her. Alex goes to the station and finds the item and sees Kate with long hair. On Valentine's Day 2008, Kate and Morgan go to Visionary Vanguard Associates, an up-and-coming architect's office, to talk about renovations to a townhouse she wants to move into, but do not realize it is run by Alex's brother Henry. Alex decides to respond to Kate's letter by writing her back and leaving it in the mailbox for the postman to pick up.
